About Aram Legal

A practice built around the needs of the client, not the pace of the process

We work in a narrow field — pension legal defence — and we do it carefully, in writing, at a pace that allows the client to remain fully informed throughout.

The story of how Aram Legal came to be is a simple one. Its founder spent several years working within a larger legal firm where pension cases were handled as one category among many. It became clear over time that clients in pension matters — who are often older, navigating unfamiliar processes, and sometimes under financial strain — needed something different from a large general practice. They needed more time, clearer explanations, and a lawyer who regarded the matter as the central concern of the week, not a file among thirty.

Who we are

Aram Legal was established in Bangkok with a single focus: to provide careful, written legal support for individuals engaged with pension authorities in Thailand. The practice is small by design. We do not attempt to serve every type of client, and we do not pursue volume. What we offer is close attention to a defined set of matters — documentation preparation, decision letter responses, and formal administrative review — carried out by people who regard this work as a calling rather than a transaction.

Our name reflects our approach. Aram — derived from the Thai word for calm — speaks to the unhurried, clear-headed manner in which we believe legal matters of this kind should be handled. A pension dispute rarely calls for urgency in the legal sense; it calls for accuracy, completeness, and a clear record. Those are the qualities we bring.

We are based in Lumphini, Pathumwan — close to the administrative district of Bangkok and accessible by BTS Skytrain. Clients may attend in person or, where that is not practical, conduct their dealings with us in writing or by telephone. Either arrangement is handled with equal care.

Our mission

Our mission is to make the pension administrative process comprehensible and navigable for the people it affects most. That means explaining things in plain language, never filing anything without the client's approval, and reporting progress at each meaningful step rather than at the end of a long silence.

We do not make promises about outcomes — no legal adviser can responsibly do that. What we can offer is a thorough, well-documented approach that gives every matter the best possible foundation when it reaches the relevant authority.

The team at Aram Legal is small. Each person who works on a client's matter is experienced in administrative pension procedure and is expected to maintain the same standard of care that the practice was founded on.

The people behind the practice

KP

Kanya Parichart

Principal Adviser

Called to the Thai Bar in 2007, Kanya has spent the past twelve years working exclusively in pension and administrative law. She founded Aram Legal to serve clients who deserved a more patient and considered approach than a general practice could provide.

SW

Suphan Wattana

Documentation Specialist

Suphan joined the practice in 2019 after several years working in pension authority case review. His understanding of how applications are assessed from the other side of the desk has proved consistently useful to clients.

NR

Nattaya Rungrot

Client Liaison

Nattaya manages the day-to-day contact with clients, ensuring that correspondence is answered promptly and that no one is left waiting without an acknowledgement. She has a background in social welfare administration.

The following standards are not aspirational — they describe how we actually work on every matter that comes through the office.

How we work

Everything in writing

Verbal conversations are followed up with a written note. Every draft submitted on a client's behalf is shared with them in advance. There is a written record of all meaningful steps.

Client approval before filing

No submission, response, or representation is filed without the client's explicit approval. Clients may request changes, ask for clarification, or decline to proceed at any stage.

Data held in confidence

Client information is held on secure, access-controlled systems. It is not shared with third parties except where strictly necessary to conduct the work, and only with the client's knowledge.

Thailand Bar Association membership

Principal advisers at Aram Legal maintain active membership of the Lawyers Council of Thailand and are bound by its professional conduct rules, including continuing professional development requirements.

Defined scope of engagement

The scope of each engagement is agreed in writing at the outset. If the scope changes, we discuss that with the client before the work is extended. There are no unexpected additions to the file.

Regular, plain-language updates

We do not use legal language when plain language will serve. Client updates are written to be understood by someone who has not spent years in an administrative legal practice.

Pension legal support in Bangkok

For individuals engaged with Thailand's pension authority — whether at the application stage, following a formal decision, or during an administrative review — the process can be difficult to navigate without some form of professional support. The documentation requirements are precise, the timelines for responses are fixed, and the language used in formal correspondence is rarely straightforward.

Aram Legal exists to address exactly these difficulties. We prepare pension application files with care, making sure the documentary record is complete before submission. When a decision letter arrives, we explain what it means in plain terms and help draft a considered response within the appropriate period. For matters that have entered formal administrative review, we provide full written representation, attending any meetings and maintaining the client's file throughout the process.

Our practice is located in Lumphini, Pathumwan — a central Bangkok address that is well connected by public transport and accessible to most parts of the city. We serve clients across Bangkok and, in some circumstances, by correspondence where an in-person visit is not practical.

We do not take on every type of legal work. The decision to remain focused on pension administrative matters reflects a view that specialised, careful work serves clients better than a general approach. Our clients tend to appreciate the clarity that comes from dealing with advisers who know this field well and have little interest in expanding beyond it.
