Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 12 May 2025
These terms set out the basis on which Aram Legal provides its services. They are intended to be read once and understood, not repeated with every communication. If anything here is unclear, we are glad to explain it before any engagement begins. Our aim is that the working relationship is clear and comfortable for everyone involved.
By engaging Aram Legal — whether by submitting an enquiry, entering into a written engagement, or asking us to take any step on your behalf — you agree to these terms.
1. About us
Aram Legal operates from 18/6 Ratchadamri Road, Lumphini, Pathumwan, Bangkok 10330, Thailand. We provide document preparation, correspondence drafting, and administrative representation services in pension-related matters before the relevant Thai administrative authorities. We may be reached by telephone at +66 2 416 8253 or by email at [email protected].
2. Scope of services
Our work falls into three areas, described in detail on our services page:
- Pension Documentation Preparation — review and preparation of application files before submission to a pension authority
- Decision Letter Response Drafting — written explanation of a decision received and drafting of an appropriate response
- Full Administrative Review Representation — ongoing representation through a formal administrative review process
Aram Legal provides administrative legal support services. Our work does not constitute legal advice in the sense of advice from a registered advocate or solicitor qualified to appear before a court of law. Where a matter requires such advice or representation, we will say so clearly and, where possible, suggest appropriate next steps.
3. Engagement and instructions
An engagement begins when both parties have agreed the scope of work and the applicable fee, and you have confirmed your instructions to us in writing. We do not begin chargeable work without your written instruction.
You are always kept informed of the progress of your matter. Any decision that may materially affect the conduct or outcome of your matter will be referred to you before we proceed, so that the direction of the work remains in your hands throughout.
4. Your responsibilities
To allow us to work on your behalf, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information about your matter to the best of your knowledge
- Share all documents and correspondence relevant to the matter promptly when requested
- Review and respond to draft documents we share with you within the agreed timeframe
- Inform us promptly of any change in your circumstances that may affect the matter
- Not take any independent step in the matter — such as contacting the pension authority directly — without first discussing it with us
We are not responsible for outcomes arising from incomplete or inaccurate information provided to us, or from steps taken independently without our knowledge.
5. Fees and payment
Our fees are fixed for each service and are stated clearly before any engagement begins. The current fees are:
- Pension Documentation Preparation: 4,200 THB
- Decision Letter Response Drafting: 7,600 THB
- Full Administrative Review Representation: 13,500 THB
Payment is due upon confirmation of instructions, unless a different arrangement is agreed in writing. Fees are quoted and payable in Thai Baht. We will issue a receipt for all payments received.
If circumstances arise that require work materially beyond the agreed scope, we will discuss this with you before any additional charges are incurred.
6. Cancellation and withdrawal
You may withdraw your instructions at any time by notifying us in writing. Where work has already been carried out at the point of withdrawal, a proportionate fee reflecting the work completed to that point will be due. Where no substantive work has been carried out, the full amount paid will be returned.
We reserve the right to decline or withdraw from an engagement where we form the view that we are not able to assist effectively, that the information provided to us is materially inaccurate, or that continuing would not be in your interest. In such circumstances, we will explain our reasons and any amounts paid for work not yet carried out will be returned.
7. Outcome and results
The outcome of any administrative or legal process rests with the relevant authority, not with us. Our role is to ensure that your matter is presented as clearly and completely as possible within the applicable process. We do not make representations about the likely outcome of any matter, and nothing in our communications should be read as a prediction or assurance of a particular result.
8. Confidentiality
All information shared with us in the course of an engagement is treated as strictly confidential. We do not disclose your information to any third party except where required to do so in order to carry out the work you have instructed us to perform, or where required by law. Our handling of personal data is described fully in our Privacy Policy.
9. Intellectual property
Documents drafted by Aram Legal in the course of an engagement — including application forms, response letters, and written submissions — are prepared for your use in the specific matter for which they were commissioned. You are free to use those documents for their intended purpose. The methodologies, templates, and working practices underlying them remain the property of Aram Legal.
10. Limitation of liability
Our liability in connection with any engagement is limited to the fee paid for that engagement. We are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from our work, or for losses arising from circumstances outside our reasonable control, including delays or decisions by the relevant pension authority.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for matters that cannot lawfully be excluded.
11. Complaints
If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of our work, please contact us at [email protected] or by post to the address above. We will acknowledge your complaint promptly and aim to provide a substantive response within fourteen working days. Our aim in any complaint is to understand what has gone wrong and, where possible, to put it right.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Thailand. Any dispute arising from them will be referred first to an attempt at resolution between the parties. If that is not successful, the matter will be submitted to the jurisdiction of the Thai courts.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The most current version is always published on this page, with the date of the last update shown above. Terms in place at the time an engagement is confirmed will govern that engagement, regardless of subsequent changes.
